COMPASSIONATE CAREIndividual Therapy
A dedicated space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional who genuinely cares about your wellbeing.
The FoundationWhat is individual therapy?
Individual therapy is a confidential, one-on-one relationship between you and a licensed therapist. It's a safe space to explore what's happening in your life. You may bring current challenges, transitions, emotional struggles, or a desire for deeper self-understanding.
Therapy isn't about judgment or "fixing" you. Rather, it's about understanding yourself more deeply, building resilience, and finding your own solutions with professional support and guidance.

Your Therapy JourneyWhat to expect
Session Structure
Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes, held weekly or bi-weekly depending on your needs and preferences. We create a consistent schedule to support your progress.
Therapist Match
If you don't feel a connection with me after 1-2 sessions, let’s have a discussion about it! I might be able to suggest someone who could be a better fit.
Your Pace
There's no "right" way to do therapy. We move at a pace that is respectful to your nervous system, addressing what feels most important to you in each moment. You're always in control.
Confidentiality
Your privacy is of utmost importance. Everything discussed in therapy is completely confidential, with very limited legal exceptions (such as immediate danger to yourself or others).
Backed By ResearchWhy individual therapy works
Undivided attention & personalisation
In sessions, my attention is fully on you. Interventions are selected based on moment to moment attunement to what was just shared, and always consider your experiences, goals, and current levels of anxiety. Everything is tailored to support your progress and emotional clarity.
A witness to your story
Being truly heard is a profound and rare experience that cultivates deep healing. I consider it a privilege to hold the parts of your story that are raw, authentic, and sometimes painful. You may bring guilt, regret, joy, grief, pride, anger, or hope. In our work together, nothing is off-limits or taboo; your experience is met with full attention, compassion, and without judgment.
Scientific backing
Individual psychotherapy is one of the most thoroughly researched interventions in mental health. It's shown to improve anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, and overall life satisfaction.
Common concerns
-
No. I consider it a privilege to share in the parts of you that are authentic and often unheard by many (or any) other people.
-
That's completely normal, and at times represents a touch of anxiety as you enter the space. We can start right there. You will likely surprise yourself. Many of my sessions that start this way end with “I can’t believe that the 50 minutes is already up, we spoke about so much”.
-
There's no fixed timeline. Some people find relief in 4-10 sessions; others work with a therapist for years.
