Healing in natureWalk and Talk Therapy
Take your therapy outside: discover a place that feels safe, breathe in the natural calm, and let your mind settle as you reflect in nature.
The FoundationWhat is walk and talk therapy?
Walk and Talk Therapy takes the traditional therapy session outdoors, combining the benefits of fresh air with focused emotional exploration. Being in nature helps regulate anxiety, increase mental clarity, and provides a grounding space where you can process difficult emotions, reflect on challenges, and gain insight into patterns in your life.
Sessions are guided by your pace and needs, allowing you to find spots that feel calming or inspiring, breathe deeply, and engage with your thoughts in a more embodied, present way. This approach can make it easier to access and work through emotions that might feel stuck in a chair, helping you move toward clarity, self-understanding, and emotional regulation.
Walk and Talk Therapy is available across the Gold Coast and the Tweed Coast.

Your Therapy JourneyWhat to expect
Organising Walk ‘n’ Talk
Before the first walk & talk therapy session, an initial assessment appointment through Telehealth will be held to discuss confidentiality, privacy and safety. This will give you an opportunity to ask any questions you might have and ensure the walk and talk service is suitable for you.
Availability
Out of office consultations are scheduled on a Tuesday. They are also offered outside standard office hours, typically on Friday or Saturday mornings or afternoons/evenings.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is of utmost importance to feeling safe to share in therapy. Walk ‘n’ Talk therapy therefore can only be conducted in a safe and private outdoor space. We will discuss locations in advance and ensure they are appropriate for therapy.
Location Specific
I practice across the Gold Coast and Tweed Coast, from Brunswick Heads to Broadbeach.

Common queries
-
Sessions are designed to be flexible. In cases of severe weather, sessions can be rescheduled, moved online, or held in clinic to ensure safety and comfort.
-
Sessions are offered outside standard office hours, typically on Tuesdays, Fridays or Saturdays. Once all out of office bookings for a day are confirmed, a route is mapped and exact times are provided, so your session can fit efficiently along the route. This approach to therapy does require some flexibility and may not be suitable for all schedules.
-
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for walking and the weather. You may also want water or a hat depending on the season. Sunglasses may be necessary but are not typically encouraged as seeing each other’s eyes is important for connection and emotional attunement.
